Rotary Clubs around the World raise and spend over $1 Billion annually on humanitarian programs. The Rotary Foundation provides an additional $150 Million to amplify their work. It is perhaps the best way your club can amplify its humanitarian outreach, particularly when working with a Club in another country. Our Rotary Foundation is funded almost entirely by us, and primarily benefits our activities to build World Peace. The Foundation funds three exciting things:
  • Polio Eradication - The only program all clubs pursue together. (60%)
  • Peace Centers - Masters Programs in Peace and Conflict Resolution at 6 International Centers (3%)
  • Grant Funding - Multiplies Club money 3.5 times when done internationally (37%)
This Site Page includes information on Rotary Foundation activities here in District 7870 and reference documents to assist our clubs in being as effective as possible in using the Rotary Foundation.

For Rotary Year 2018-2019, Governor Venu Rau has challenged every Club in our District to become involved in a Global Grant. To underscore his vision, he has committed to personally match up to the first $1,000 each Club contributes to a Global Grant. We are calling this initiative the "$25,000 Give Away 1-2-3." Please see the file of the same name for an overview of how it works. What Club would not like to receive $25,000 to support a humanitarian project? Don't hesitate to contact DRFC Rick Manganello, RotaryRick@Outlook.com for help.
